Culinary Hiking

•The RI.Perspective
In a rural setting near Valencia, the Culinary Hiking Retreat takes shape, conceived by Chabeli and Mathias, founders of Oasis Retreats. Their project was created with the intention of offering intimate retreats for small groups, where the natural environment, movement, and mindful nourishment become practical tools for well-being. The stay takes place at El Oasis Resort, in the small village of La Eliana, a property surrounded by Mediterranean gardens and green open spaces.
The vision behind the program reflects the complementary expertise of its founders. Chabeli, a chef and orthomolecular therapist, brings a strong focus on nutrition and on cultivating a conscious relationship with food. Mathias, a physiotherapist and enthusiast of physical activity, contributes a perspective centered on body care and the role of movement in everyday life.
The rhythm of the experience unfolds through long walks along trails and mountain paths, allowing participants to connect directly with the landscape and gradually slow their pace, encouraging a simpler and more authentic state of presence. The culinary dimension also plays a central role in the retreat and is developed in collaboration with chef Barbara, founder of the Yasai plant-based project, through themed brunches and dinners inspired by plant-based cuisine and a thoughtful, creative gastronomic approach.
The result is a retreat designed for those seeking a simple yet carefully curated journey, where time spent in nature, the quality of nourishment, and an intimate, welcoming atmosphere create the conditions to rediscover a more natural balance between body, mind, and environment, and to reconnect with oneself.
