Yoga & Surf

•The RI.Perspective
The Wild Good retreat in Crete is shaped by the perspective of Mina Giatropoulou, where yoga operates as a process of selection, stripping away the superfluous to make space for what is essential. Repetition and continuity render physical action more legible, shifting the emphasis toward how it is carried out, with sustained attention to the quality of motion. In the same way, sound healing sessions expand the capacity for perception and regulation.
Within the experience, this approach is tested through surfing, guided by Kostas and Michalis. The variability of the water demands an immediate response, turning theory into tangible balance: the body either finds a new alignment or loses stability.
The relationship between practices is intensified by the island’s authentic rhythm, a landscape where raw terrain and the constant presence of the sea prevent any artificial construction.
Every element—from traditional local cuisine to the shared pace, and the simple, authentic quality of Cretan hospitality—contributes to an environment free from interference or pressure, where nothing is treated as separate. In this way, the experience integrates naturally with the place.
What emerges is a different way of engaging with action, bringing greater stability to the body and a more grounded sense of presence. In the end, without effort, an immersion in nature, shaped by yoga and shared with like-minded individuals, is enough to move something within us.
