Yvonne’s artistic research has developed over the years through fashion design, textile craftsmanship and a lifelong engagement with painting, which she approaches as a direct means for emotions, memories and sensations to take shape. The September retreat is rooted in this vision.
Set in Cantiano, in the Marche region, it takes place in a venue surrounded by nature. Yvonne leads an all-female gathering designed for women who wish to step away from the everyday pace and enter a welcoming space, free from judgment and the pressure to produce a result. The landscape, the possibility of painting outdoors and a slower rhythm encourage a personal and intuitive way of working.
Yvonne’s method, introduced at the beginning of each session, guides the group from the initial idea to the completion of a large-format canvas. No prior experience is required: each woman is invited to bring images, impressions and free gestures into colour, allowing the canvas to hold even what cannot yet be put into words. From this comes a more grounded confidence in her own mark.
Across these days, painting, time for oneself, care and conviviality allow those who attend to take home an artwork made with their own hands and, above all, a deeper awareness of what they feel and how they can express it.
