Nurture your Nature
• The RI.Perspective
Villa La Tosca overlooks Arcachon Bay, among Atlantic pine forests and tides that mark time with a cadence of their own: it is within this rhythm that Nurture Your Nature takes shape. Aleysha Derksen guides the structure of the practice, giving the retreat a clear direction. Each day, the process unfolds through a precise sequence, vinyasa, yin, yoga nidra, pranayama, accompanied by essential oils, hands-on assists, and mini massages that deepen the perceptual quality of the experience. Arinn Ryan complements this framework with somatic breathwork, oriented toward emotional release and the regulation of the nervous system, while Kaylyn West completes the retreat with individual energy healing sessions and intuitive readings, maintaining a documentarian gaze that moves through the week without interfering with it.
The combination of these three perspectives, the body in movement, the breath as an instrument of release, energy as a space of listening, defines an experience in which clarity, grounding, and a sharper perception of the self emerge gradually. Shared meals, prepared by Raoul de Koning with seasonal and local ingredients, belong to the same sensory logic; likewise, the retreat’s openings onto the surrounding territory, from the traditional pinasse boat to oyster tasting and on to Saint-Émilion, become moments of pause, play, and connection.
