The Sacred Fig

The RI.Perspective
The Summer retreat by The Sacred Fig in Portugal offers the opportunity to practice with Anton Brandt and Nikki Vilella, two teachers with well-established paths within the international yoga scene.
Anton’s approach guides a thoughtful and sensitive inner inquiry, where practice enters into dialogue with the rhythms of nature and with a deeper dimension of listening. Nikki, co-director of the Kula Yoga Project in New York, brings strong technical clarity and a clear vision of movement-based practice.
Their meeting creates a synergy that combines intelligent alignment, rigor, and meditation, with the intention of guiding each participant toward a more autonomous and conscious relationship with their own path.
This vision takes shape at Cocoon, an agricultural estate on the unspoiled coast of Alentejo. The philosophy of the place—grounded in simplicity, nature, and a farm-to-table kitchen based on local ingredients—helps create an environment aligned with the intention of the retreat: a refuge where landscape, daily life, and inner inquiry come back into dialogue, while also leaving space for moments of playfulness, connection, and joy.
An experience designed for those seeking an immersive time of practice in a setting that remains largely untouched, where true luxury is defined by silence and the quality of time.
