Return to stillness

•The RI.Perspective
In Almières, in the Causses above the Tarn, Lauren Coleman, teacher and founder of Casa Retreats, develops A Return to Stillness, a retreat in which everything is reduced to the essential so that nothing distracts from what truly matters. The experience unfolds around the search for a quality of time that is slower, more ordered, and more accessible.
Together with Jonathan L’Epée Urbani, she coordinates a path that integrates different disciplines — from Vinyasa to Restorative — with a specific attention to visual language and the narrative of the place. The offering is held together through measure and coherence, where meditation, breath sessions, alignment work, pauses and land walks allow for a deepening of one’s capacity to listen.
This gives a tangible form to what emerges in the practice. Within this balance, the naturopathic cuisine and the attention to seasonal, plant-based food confirm the retreat’s simple, refined character.
The stone house, the open light of the landscape, the silence, and the constant relationship with the horizon shape a restrained environment where nothing intrudes, nothing interrupts, and everything supports a more settled inner state, ultimately allowing a clearer sense of self to emerge.
