The Art of Slowing Down

The RI.Perspective
In the heart of Gascony, the experience guided by Jess Bayly at Amassa echoes the peace of the timeless French countryside.
Here among the woods and gardens the rural stone architecture becomes a physical extension of the teaching: grounding structures that invite us to safely root down, in preparation for growth and renewal.
Jess’s approach invites a noticing of the subtle through breath and the direct perception of sensation. Using somatic flow as a tool to explore inner landscapes, external layers fade away, moving towards a conscious and alive centre.
The rhythm of the retreat is a carefully composed score. The vibrant energy of flow is complemented by the quiet stillness of softer practices, finding balance in the constant ebb and flow of expansion and contraction.
It is an invitation to strip daily experience of distractions, opening a protected space where participants can rediscover the body’s innate wisdom and learn to trust once again its deeper language.
