Greek Islands Yoga
• The RI.Perspective
The identity of this proposal lies in the way Sofia Drekou brings movement, presence, sound, and Mediterranean culture into relation within a single itinerary, in which inner inquiry remains the central point of reference. The sessions establish a precise cadence: morning yoga orients and opens the process, while evening sound healing, accompanied by the use of the harmonium, supports its integration. Between these two poles, reflective writing, conviviality, and the relationship with place extend the work beyond the formal sessions alone. The cultural dimension of the island-its patterns, habits, and ways of encountering others-thus enters the retreat itself, sustaining a quality of presence that continues through relationship and shared life.
The decision to unfold the experience between Paxos and Corfu reinforces this direction. The natural stillness of the former and the historical stratification of the latter introduce shifts in atmosphere, allowing the practice to measure itself against different settings without losing coherence. In the passage between the two islands, inhabiting the places does not remain an accessory element, but helps define the way the retreat itself takes shape.
