Sense ONEself

•The RI.Perspective
Sense ONEself is a four-day somatic retreat in Arillas, built around an exploration of the relationship between water, earth, and the natural elements, within the Corfiot landscape and the 34°C heated saltwater pool of Flying Pool Project, an independent project dedicated to aquatic arts.
Led by Elisabeth Andrio, raised on the shores of the Mediterranean and specialised in aquatic bodywork, water dance, and Contact Improvisation, and by Riviera Ruiz, a movement facilitator who integrates Wúo Taï and work on the body’s physical and emotional memory, Sense ONEself offers an experience in which sensation, contact, weight, buoyancy, and play become tools for exploration.
The retreat, also inspired by Butoh and Rebozo practice, invites participants to let go of the idea of a pre-set way of moving and rediscover a more physical spontaneity between water and earth. From this emerges a more precise quality of attention toward the body and its processes of transformation.
