Sol Sanctuary
•The RI.Perspective
This experience in Costa Rica emerges from the meeting between scientific sensitivity and inner exploration. The curation of the retreat revolves around Natalie Jane, a coastal and desert ecologist whose perspective transforms yoga into a tool for environmental awareness. Here, it is not simply about practicing in nature, but about recognizing oneself as part of its balance.
Through her studies, Natalie proposes an approach that translates the observation of the natural world into lived experience. The Seven Doorways Vinyasa method becomes a dynamic bridge between breath, movement, and the surrounding landscape.
Sessions take place in an elevated shala immersed in tropical vegetation, offering a direct visual perspective over the jungle.
The setting of the Sol Sanctuary Retreat Center further reinforces this approach: eco-friendly bungalows and a farm-to-table kitchen represent a concrete extension of the retreat’s ethos. The experience also carries a tangible environmental impact, as part of the profits are donated to the Wildlife Protection Alliance, contributing to the protection of local wildlife and the coastal ecosystems of Playa Grande.
