•The RI.Perspective
The retreat guided by Tom Cronin, supported by breathwork facilitator Joey Hurl, unfolds as an intensive four-day experience dedicated to the practice of contemporary meditation and to the conscious exploration of the relationship between body, breath, and mind. Through a combination of mindful movement, breathing, and meditation, the experience creates a structured space of practice where participants are invited to slow the pace of the mind and observe their inner patterns with greater clarity.
Cronin, founder of The Stillness Project and producer of the documentary The Portal, came to meditation after many years working in the financial markets. Within a professional environment marked by constant intensity and pressure, meditation became for him a concrete tool for restoring balance and mental clarity — a personal journey that now informs his way of teaching.
At the center of the work lies Rounding, a sequence that integrates gentle movement, conscious breathing, and deep meditation. This practice forms the architectural core of the program and is presented as a way to stabilize attention, observe recurring mental patterns, and cultivate a more grounded state of presence.
The presence of Joey Hurl introduces a specific dimension of breathwork, used as a tool to support emotional integration and facilitate the regulation of the nervous system throughout the experience.
Rather than offering a temporary escape from daily life, the program is conceived as an intensive space of practice where participants can explore tools of awareness that may gradually be integrated into everyday living.

In this case, the selection does not arise primarily from the geographical setting, but from the methodological structure of the experience. The program presents a clear and progressive framework that integrates meditation, breathwork, and movement within a coherent four-day journey.
The presence of a teacher such as Tom Cronin, active within the international landscape of contemporary meditation, also introduces a dimension of personal research and transmission of method that makes this experience particularly interesting from the perspective of practice.
For this reason, RI.retreats chose to observe this program as a space for exploring contemporary meditation, where the meeting between teaching, structured practice, and breathwork creates the conditions for an experience of presence and inner clarity.
